Position Description: | The Mobile Systems Laboratory at the University of Iowa is starting a new project on using machine learning techniques to improve the capabilities of hearing aids. The laboratory includes two faculty (Dr. Chipara and Dr. Wu), one postdoctoral fellow, and four Ph.D. students. Applications are invited for a postdoctoral position to work on the new project. The project will broadly focus on:
Responsibilities will include developing original research, supervising system deployments, and coordinating the activities of the Ph.D. students involved in the project. Required Qualifications: | The candidate should have expertise in designing, implementing, and empirically evaluating computer systems, including embedded systems, wireless sensor networks, or cloud services. |
Desirable Qualifications: | Expertise in machine learning is an advantage. |
