Position Description:

Discipline: Biological Sciences. A position for a postdoctoral research fellow with molecular biology, animal genetic, and/or physiological background is available in a lab focused on cardiovascular and kidney disease.



The successful candidate will be involved in studying the function of the role of an antiaging protein, klotho, in cardiovascular and kidney diseases. Combined biochemical, biophysical, imaging, and animal genetic approaches will be used to answer questions. Candidates qualified for NIH training grants and fellowships will be favorably considered.

Education Requirement:

Candidates must have an MD or PhD degree.

Required Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will be a recent PhD and should have a strong background in molecular biology, animal genetic, and/or integrated physiology.



The ability to design, execute and interpret experiments is expected.

Desirable Qualifications:

Applicants should be strongly motivated, passionate about conducting scientific research, demonstrate ethics and integrity, and be able to work both independently and as an effective member of a research team.
