Position Description: | The Physical Activity & Women’s Health Lab, led by Professor Kara Whitaker in the Department of Health and Human Physiology, has an outstanding opportunity for a Research Intern. The Research Intern will primarily be responsible for managing day-to-day operations of a multi-center observational cohort study investigating whether sedentary behavior, physical activity, and sleep patterns in pregnancy are related to growth patterns and cardiovascular health in children. Comfort interacting with parents and young children (age 2) is critical. Responsibilities will include implementation and management of recruitment/retention strategies, data collection and quality control, data entry and management, participating in multi-site study meetings, training and supervising new lab members, and additional lab related tasks as needed. This is a one-year position with the possibility of extension for up to a total of two years depending on funding and lab needs. SALARY AND BENEFITS
