Position Description: | ICARE Post-Baccalaureate Fellows Program aims to expand diversity in the cancer research workforce by increasing the number of trainees that come from backgrounds under-represented in the biomedical and cancer research field. The goalof the program is to expose participants to cancer research and provide career development activities that will help them prepare for a career in cancer research. Duties will include utilizing various therapeutic agents with either radioprotective and/or radiosensitizing properties, in combination with conventional radiotherapy to improve therapeutic outcomes while maintaining low levels of normal tissue toxicity for treatment of radioresistent tumors. |

Required Qualifications: | Candidate must desire to pursue doctoral degree (PhD, PharmaD, DrPH, MD, MD/PhD) in cancer-related field. Candidate must be seeking additional research to strengthen experience required for graduate/medical school. U.S. Citizeship or Permanent Residency required. |
Desirable Qualifications: | All applicants welcome however candidates may identify in a population underrepresented in the biomedical workforce. |
