Position Description: | This Research Internship within the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics provides a unique opportunity to work in a multidisciplinary group involving collaborators from the College of Medicine. Our research revolves around understanding molecular pathways and neural circuits in cardiovascular and neurodegenerative diseases. This position will provide opportunities to build qualitative, quantitative, and critical reasoning skills while working with mouse models of human diseases.
Under the direction of the investigators, you will be involved with carrying out research protocols, mouse husbandry and maintaining mouse colonies, performing literature reviews, database entry/analyses, and completing a wide range of activities to fulfill the needs of research studies.
