| Position Description: | The Gerstner Research Group in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Iowa welcomes applications for a postdoctoral research scholar position. The successful candidate will work on the synthesis of molecules to be used for biological applications. The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong foundation in multi-step synthesis of organic molecules and standard spectroscopic techniques (e.g., NMR, Mass spectrometry, and UV-vis spectroscopy) necessary for characterizing new molecules. The position is for one year with the potential for extension for an additional year and would have a flexible start date of July 1, 2026.
