Position Description:

The Division of General Internal Medicine within the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine is seeking an internist for appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor on the Clinical Track.

We encourage and support involvement in professional society activities.Our clinician educators also have assumed important institutional leadership roles in education, quality improvement, and administration.



The successful candidate will join a growing and innovative outpatient primary care practice located at the Iowa River Landing, a multispecialty clinic with onsite lab, imaging, procedure suite, and pharmaceutical services.Aside from providing comprehensive, coordinated, and evidence-based primary care to adults, our General Internists have opportunities to work in a thriving LGBTQ Clinic, a Weight Management Clinic, and a newly developed Post-COVID Clinic. The successful candidate will establish a full or part-time general internal medicine practice through a combination of faculty, same-day access, and resident-teaching clinics.



 

Education Requirement:

Candidates must have an MD or DO degree.

Required Qualifications:

Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S.



Candidates must be able to demonstrate outstanding skills in teaching, clinical medicine, decision making, communication, and collaboration. 

Desirable Qualifications:

Previous experience as a clinician educator is preferred.
