| Position Description: | The College of Education at the University of Iowa is making a major investment in addressing critical mental health needs. The Department of Counselor Education is committed to advancing mental health services statewide, with particular attention to rural communities. We are seeking a dedicated and student-centered clinical faculty member to help lead our growing Clinical Mental Health Counseling (CMHC) MA Program. Position We seek an individual with demonstrated excellence in teaching, clinical supervision, and program leadership, as well as experience relevant to clinical mental health counseling, rural communities, and counselor education. This individual should have demonstrated: The successful candidate will serve as a core faculty member and Program Coordinator for our Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program. This individual may also join in partnership with the Scanlan Center for School Mental Health. The program, following College of Education trends, has strong department, college, university, and clinical community support, and is committed to an environment that values diversity and collegiality. The preferred candidate will have a strong commitment to student-centered practice and will be experienced in implementation of CACREP accreditation standards in mental health counselor education.
