The Position 

The Department of Management and Entrepreneurship within the Tippie College of Business at the University of Iowa invites applications for one non-tenure Instructional Track Faculty Position in human resources/organizational behavior and/or project management at the level of Assistant Professor of Instruction or Practice, Associate Professor of Instruction or Practice, or Full Professor of Instruction or Practice starting in August 2026. This position requires in-person instruction on campus in Iowa City, Monday through Friday. Rank will be based on experience and record of achievement. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications. This position is 100% time (teaching 8 classes/year) and includes a 1-7 year contract, determined by rank and experience, with benefits. The unit will not fund the $100,000 payment associated with new H-1B sponsorship, either upon hire or during international travel. 

• A master’s degree or higher in a related field. 

• Evidence of successful teaching experience at the undergraduate or graduate level in any area of management.


• Strong background in human resource management or general management with industry experience (5-10 years). 


• ​Ability to teach on-site in Iowa City, Iowa, Monday – Friday.  

• We particularly seek candidates who are prepared to teach courses in human resources and organizational behavior, and/or project management at the undergraduate and graduate levels. 


• An earned doctorate or strong evidence a doctoral degree will be completed before August 19, 2026.
