Position Description:

The University of Iowa School of Art, Art History, and Design seeks applications for a 50% Visiting Assistant Professor in Art History for the 2025-26 academic year.  The position receives full benefits.  The successful candidate will teach two courses per semester in the Art History division.

Education Requirement:

Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in Art History or be an advanced A.B.D. candidate in Art History.

Required Qualifications:

Ability to teach courses in early modern art.

Desirable Qualifications:

Prior university-level teaching experience is desirable.
