Position Description:

The Division of Nephrology in the Department of Internal Medicine University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine is seeking a full or part-time faculty member at the rank of Instructor or Clinical Assistant Professor. Successful candidate will participate in the patient care and teaching missions of UI Healthcare. Clinical research and scholarship activities are encouraged but not essential. Compensation includes University-approved base salary and generous productivity-based bonus.

Successful candidates will be required to self-disclose any misconduct history or pending research misconduct investigation including but not limited to sexual misconduct in prior employment and provide a related release and will be subject to a criminal background and credential check.



 

Education Requirement:

Candidates must have an MD degree or equivalent.

Required Qualifications:

Candidates must have completed a Nephrology Fellowship from an accredited training program.



General nephrology training is required. 



Also required are eligibility for licensing in Iowa and authorization to work in the United States.

Certifications:

Board certification or eligibility in relevant fields are required.

Desirable Qualifications:

Additional training in nephrology subspecialties such as transplantation, critical care nephrology, interventional nephrology or glomerulonephritis while not essential is desirable.
