Position Description:

The Division of Cardiovascular Medicine in the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics is recruiting an interventional cardiologist. This position will be in the rank of Instructor. Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. This position is not eligible for University sponsorship for employment authorization.



The candidate will perform clinical work at UIHC, IRL, Iowa City VA and/or outreach locations. The candidate will have effort in outpatient clinic, performing diagnostic catheterization procedures in the UIHC and Iowa City VA cardiac catheterization laboratory and rounding on the inpatient teaching and consult services.

Successful candidates will be required to self-disclose any misconduct history or pending research misconduct investigation including but not limited to sexual misconduct in prior employment and provide a related release and will be subject to a criminal background and credential check.



 

Education Requirement:

Candidates must have an M.D. degree or equivalent.

Required Qualifications:

The successful candidate must have completed an ACGME accredited cardiology and interventional fellowship. Demonstrated experience performing clinical outcomes research and promoting a diverse workforce/academic environment are required.

Certifications:

A board certification or board eligibility in cardiovascular diseases.

Desirable Qualifications:

A demonstrated record of scholarly work is preferred.
