Position Description: | The Department of Emergency Medicine at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics is seeking to fill faculty positions at the rank of Visiting Instructor. This position allows for clinical practice while pursuing additional training in these tracks of study: Medical Education, Emergency Ultrasound, Research, and Social Medicine. Upon successful completion of this appointment, the Visiting Instructor in Emergency Medicine will earn a certification of completion of training and will have had the opportunity to earn a Master’s degree.

Education Requirement: | Applicants must have a medical or osteopathic degree or equivalent and be a graduate of an ACGME-accredited Emergency Medicine residency or Pediatric Emergency Medicine fellowship. |

Certifications: | Applicants must be graduates of ACGME-accredited Emergency Medicine residency programs or Pediatric Emergency Medicine fellowships and be board-eligible or board-certified in Emergency Medicine by the American Board of Emergency Medicine or board-eligible or board-certified in Pediatric Emergency Medicine by the American Board of Emergency Medicine or the American Board of Pediatrics. |
Desirable Qualifications: | Additional consideration will be given to candidates with recent Level 1 Trauma Center Emergency Medicine experience. |
