Position Description:

The University of Iowa Department of Internal Medicine is recruiting part-time and full-time BC/BE physicians for clinical faculty positions that offer a dynamic mix of activities within the Division of General Internal Medicine. Applications will be accepted for positions at the rank of Instructor, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor in the Clinical Track, commensurate with experience and training.



We are recruiting applicants in our cardiology-focused hospitalist, general medicine hospitalist, and nocturnist/swing shift-focused hospitalist tracks. Hospitalists have many opportunities including resident teaching teams, attending-only teams, and APP/physician combined services. We also provide internal medicine consultative care at the University of Iowa Health Network Rehabilitation Hospital. The University of Iowa is an excellent opportunity for both current and future career hospitalists, as well as those seeking to grow as independent clinicians and strengthen their fellowship resume in a nationally-known academic setting with specialty research and collaboration available. Hospitalists work at both the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics (UIHC) and the Iowa City VA Medical Center (VAMC).

Education Requirement:

Candidates must have an M.D. degree or equivalent.

Required Qualifications:

Position requires completion of an ACGME-accredited Residency Program.
