Position Description:

The University of Iowa, Division of Cardiovascular Medicine in the Department of Internal Medicine is recruiting a part time BC/BE non-invasive cardiologist for a faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor in the clinical track. The successful candidate will join a large academic group. Patient care will occur at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, affiliated outreach sites and the affiliated Iowa City VA Medical Center. This position is not eligible for university sponsorship for employment authorization.

Education Requirement:

Candidates must have an M.D. degree or equivalent.

Required Qualifications:

Candidates must have a completion of an ACGME accredited residency and fellowship program. Additionally, candidates must have excellent interpersonal skills and enjoy interactions with students, staff, and faculty.

Certifications:

Candidates must have a board certification in cardiology.

Desirable Qualifications:

Experience in advanced ECHO and Transthoracic Echocardiography along with cardiac MRI and/or CT is preferred. Evidence of a commitment to clinical teaching, clinical research and/or outcomes research is desired.
