Position Description:

The Division of Cardiovascular Medicine in the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics is recruiting a full-time board-certified/board-eligible heart failure cardiologist. This position will be in the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor on the tenure or clinical (non-tenure) track, depending on qualifications. 



The candidate will work at UIHC, IRL and outreach locations and may have some clinical effort at the Iowa City VA Medical Center.  The candidate will have effort in outpatient clinic, including outreach clinics, rounding on inpatient cardiomyopathy service, assisting in donor call and may perform right heart catheterizations and/or endomyocardial biopsies, if desired.

Education Requirement:

M.D. degree or equivalent

Required Qualifications:

Authorized to work in the U.S.



Completion of cardiology fellowship and accredited advanced heart failure fellowship.



Demonstrated experience promoting a diverse workforce/academic environment

Certifications:

Board certified or board eligible in cardiovascular diseases and heart failure.

Desirable Qualifications:

A demonstrated record of scholarly work and administrative leadership is preferred.
