Position Description:

The Department of Finance within the Tippie College of Business at the University of Iowa invites applications for tenure-track/tenured faculty positions in Finance at the Assistant or Associate Professor level(s) starting August 17, 2022. Rank will be based on experience and record of achievement. All specialty areas in finance will be considered; however, candidates with expertise in corporate finance and/or risk management and insurance are especially encouraged to apply. Applications will be considered on a rolling basis. For best consideration, applications should be submitted by October 1, 2021. First round interviews may be conducted either virtually and/or in-person. We anticipate campus visits for second round interviews. Positions are 100% time with benefits.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications. Appropriate background checks (e.g. criminal background and credential checks) will be conducted.

Education Requirement:

An earned doctorate degree or strong evidence that the doctoral degree will be completed by 8/22/2022.

Required Qualifications:

For consideration at the Assistant Professor level, applicants must have a demonstrated interest in and capacity to do research publishable in top-tier journals; a high level of teaching effectiveness; and demonstrated commitment to work towards a welcoming and inclusive environment both in and out of the classroom.

For consideration at the Associate Professor level, applicants must have an extensive and continuing body of research published in top-tier journals; demonstrated record of teaching experience and commitment to work towards a welcoming and inclusive environment both in and out of the classroom.
