Position Description:

The Department of Accounting within the Tippie College of Business at The University of Iowa invites applications for a tenured/tenure-track position with benefits in Accounting at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor levels starting August 21, 2019. Rank will be based on experience and record of achievement.  A faculty Fellowship or Professorship may be available for a suitably qualified candidate. Campus visits for candidates applying for the rank of Associate Professor or Professor will be scheduled during the fall semester 2018.



Salary will be commensurate with qualifications. Appropriate background checks (e.g. criminal background and credential checks) will be conducted

Education Requirement:

An earned doctorate or strong evidence that the doctoral degree will be completed before August 21, 2019.

Required Qualifications:

Applicants must have: 1) a demonstrated potential for publishing significant research in top-tier journals; 2) a demonstrated high level of teaching competence; Minimum qualifications for appointment at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor include an extensive and continuing body of research published in top-tier accounting journals and a demonstrated success in working with doctoral students. Applicants must be capable of adhering to the expectation that all staff will maintain effective, civil, and respectful working relationship with the University of Iowa campus community and uphold a high standard of cultural competency that represents the Tippie College of Business commitment to diversity and inclusion.
