Position Description:

The Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences, University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine has an opening for a full-time tenure or non-tenure clinical track faculty member in Neuro-Ophthalmology.

Education Requirement:

Applicants must have graduated from a fully-accredited ophthalmology residency and have subspecialty training in neuro-ophthalmology.

Required Qualifications:

Must be eligible for licensure in the state of Iowa.

Must have demonstrated a commitment to achieving diversity in the workforce.

Candidate is expected to have a strong commitment to clinical care, teaching, and research in an academic setting.

A commitment to resident and fellow training is also required.


Candidate must be certified or eligible for certification by the American Board of Ophthalmology.

Desirable Qualifications:

Knowledge and interest in electroretinography (ERG) testing is desirable.
