Position Description:

The Roy J. and Lucille A. Carver College of Medicine invites applications for a full-time faculty in the Section of Pulmonary and Cardiovascular Imaging within the Department of Radiology. The Department is recruiting this postion open rank/ open track, with appointment being commensurate with experience and interest. The successful candidate may be appointed at the level of Assistant or Associate Professor on either the clinical or tenure track commensurate with experience.

The Radiology Department includes 37 staff physicians, 13 fellows, 15 Ph.D. researchers, and 33 residents. The Department operates six clinical MDCT scanners including the Seimens Force.There are six clinical MR scanners (including a 3T) and 2 PET-CT scanners. Construction is approved for a PET/MR and a second Force CT scanner.

Education Requirement:

Applicants must have four years post-doctoral training in radiology.

Applicants must be fellowship or equivalent trained in Thoracic imaging radiology.

Required Qualifications:

Candidates must have experience in all aspects of Thoracic radiology.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with clinicians, patients and trainees are required

Applicants must be board certified/eligible by the American Board of Radiology and must also be on track for board certification in the first year post training.

Desirable Qualifications:

Leadership experience and a demonstrated facility for teaching is highly desirable.
