Position Description:

The University of Iowa Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center and the Division of Hematology, Oncology and Blood & Marrow Transplantation are seeking multiple BC/BE, medical oncologists and/or hematologists.  Applicants will be considered for both tenured and non-tenured track positions.



The Carver College of Medicine is part of a major research university and ranks 10th among public universities in external research funding. The Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center is a National Cancer Institute-designated comprehensive cancer center that collaborates closely with the College and the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. The hospital is one of the largest university-owned teaching hospitals in the United States and is adjacent to the Iowa City Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center. The Department of Internal Medicine is the major teaching and predominant research department in the Carver College of Medicine. It has a distinguished teaching, research and clinical faculty, with over $45 million in annual NIH research funding and over $10 million in annual VA research funding, and has a large number of distinguished clinicians who are national and international leaders in their respective subspecialty areas.

Education Requirement:

MD degree or equivalent

Required Qualifications:

Candidates must have a previous record of accomplishments consistent with appointment at the rank of Associate, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Full Professor.



Must have an outstanding record of accomplishments.



Must have evidence predicting future success in research, teaching and service in the areas of hematology and/or medical oncology.

Certifications:

BC/BE, medical oncologists and/or hematologists.
