The Department of Neurology at the University of Iowa seeks a BC/BE neurologist with fellowship training or equivalent experience in neuromuscular disorders. Appointment will be at the level of Associate (non-track), or Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor (tenure or non-tenure clinical track) and will be based on qualifications. The applicant is expected to participate in providing tertiary level clinical services and contribute to clinical or basic research programs. The department hosts an MDA clinic and an MDA/ALS multidisciplinary clinic, and has highly respected EMG and neuropathology services. The Neuromuscular Division is highly collaborative with the Pediatric Neuromuscular Division and includes clinicians and clinician scientists.
MD degree or equivalent.
Fellowship trained or equivalent experience in neuromuscular disorders.
Board Certified/Board Eligible Neurologist.
Demonstrated knowledge of effective strategies for working with diverse faculty, staff, and students.
Ability to demonstrate job-related experience with and/or commitment to diversity in the work/academic environment.
