The University of Iowa Roy J. and Lucille A. Carver College of Medicine, Department of Neurology is currently recruiting candidates for faculty positions as EEG - Clinical Neurophysiologists. Rank and appointment will be based on qualifications and experience. This position may also have a joint appointment with the Iowa City Veterans Affairs (VA) Medical Center.
The Clinical Electrophysiology division provides services to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics (UIHC) including intraoperative neurophysiologic monitoring, bedside long term EEG monitoring, routine EEG and evoked potential studies. The candidate will participate in all of these activities.
Successful candidates will hold an MD degree or equivalent, be a graduate of an ACGME accredited Neurology residency program, and have completed a fellowship in Clinical Neurophysiology.
Applicants must have a commitment to patient care, teaching, and research.
The candidate must be able to demonstrate knowledge of effective strategies for working with diverse faculty, staff, and students and be able to demonstrate job-related experience with and/or commitment to diversity in the work/academic environment.
Board eligible or board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and by the American Board of Clinical Neurophysiology (ABCN).
Additional consideration will be given to candidates with significant teaching, leadership experience and/or an established research record.
