| Details | A full time postdoctoral position is available immediately for a collaborative project at the University of Iowa. A highly motivated postdoctoral scholar interested in translational research is needed for funded research on vascular regulation and blood pressure control related to obesity and hypertension. A qualified candidate for this position is expected to have a strong publication record and excellent references from Ph.D. research. A notable feature of this postdoctoral fellowship will be experience in combining state-of-the-art genetic and molecular methods with sophisticated vascular physiologic techniques to address fundamental mechanisms of vascular regulation in genetically modified mouse models in obesity and hypertension as well as translational experimental techniques using cells and tissues from humans. Proficiency in vascular biology is required and experience with genetics and molecular biology is highly desired.
