POSITION SPECIFIC SUMMARY: The Tippie College of Business Graduate and Professional Programs (GPP) is seeking to hire Graders to support faculty in online graduate and professional level courses. At this time the need is for a grader in Marketing Management only. Graders would be professionals in their respective fields with the appropriate background needed to assist with evaluating assignments and assessments submitted by working professional students. This position requires competency in the application of business principles and practices for the relevant course where grading support is to be provided. 

 

Summer session position with opportunity to continue in later semesters. Graders will be hired for an 8 week session (5/20/26 to 7/27/26). These dates include one week prior to session start for training and a 10-day period after the course session ends to align with when grades are due.  

 

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES AND SPECIFIC JOB TASKS 

  • --Provide timely feedback and grading as directed by course instructor.

  •  

  • --May include facilitation of discussion boards or other online course support as indicated by course instructor.  

  •  

  • --May include holding office hours to support student questions or review assignments and

  • grades.

 

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS 

  • --Master’s degree or equivalent education and experience is required.  Individuals who have completed a Tippie online master’s degree or professional or graduate certificate are preferred. Ideally the grader would have completed the assigned course with a grade of A- or better.  

  •  

  • --Dependable, independent worker, customer service experience and high level of attention to detail are also required.  

  •  

  • --Computer Skills, depending on course assigned to grade for: Microsoft Office: Email and calendaring (Outlook), word processing (Word), Presentations and slides (PowerPoint), spreadsheets and tables (Excel), and ICON (student learning platform).   

  •  

  • --Must reside in the state of Iowa.

 

Work Schedule 

  • --10 hours average per week for 8-week course, depending on cadence of course.

  •  

  • --Flexible.

  • The wage is $25/hour
