A research intern is needed to conduct cutting-edge research focused on to understand the fundamental biological events that control metabolism, cardiovascular function and activity of the autonomic nervous system.
The candidate will assist in performing experiments using mice using molecular, cellular, and biochemical techniques. This appointment is for a limited duration, anticipated length of one year with the possibility of renewal for a second year. This position is designed for individuals who:

Position Responsibilities:
· Maintain colonies of genetically modified mice: breeding, weaning and genotyping of the mice as well as maintaining electronic records of the colonies.
· Perform laboratory maintenance.
· Maintain laboratory and experimental records.
· Assist postdoctoral fellows or graduate students in maintaining mouse colonies and performing genotyping and experiments.
· Keep detailed written and organized records of experimental design, protocols, computer data analysis and raw data.
Requires a Bachelor's degree in a biomedical related science or an equivalent combination of education. |
