The Office of Campus Safety has an opening for a Temporary Security Officer to patrol campus buildings and assigned areas with a focus on access control, public safety, and student well-being. May be responsible for operating NITERIDE service vehicles.

Must be available sometime between the hours of 10:00pm and 8:00am, several days per week. Other opportunities may become available.

Must have a valid Driver’s License and be able to meet and maintain UI Fleet Safety Standards- https://uiowa.edu/riskmanagement/vehicle-use

Applicant must have the ability to traverse and cover between 5-10 miles on patrol each shift.

References will be requested.

Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a criminal background check.
