POSITION SUMMARY: The Division of Student Life; University Housing & Dining is seeking a Summer Custodian to assist in cleaning student rooms and public areas, unloading trucks, moving furniture, and other miscellaneous custodial work in the residence halls. 

DUTIES TO INCLUDE:

• Clean student rooms, apartments, public spaces, stairways, and offices
• Trash removal
• Move furniture
• Load and unload trucks
• Other designated tasks

POSITION BASICS:

Hourly Rate/Range: $16.97

WORK SCHEDULE:

Hours:40 hours/week

Shift: Primarily 1^st shift; 7:30 am – 4 pm. Summer position only

Work Week: May work occasional weekends

Additional Hours: May work occasional overtime to cover absences and peak periods of operation

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be able to read, write, and follow instructions
• Must be able to perform heavy physical labor and stand for long periods of time
• Must be able to move up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to climb a ladder up to 12 feet
• Must be able to work in heat, humidity, and dust
• Must be able to work with cleaning chemicals
• Good attendance and reliability
