The University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics Department of Pathology is seeking a temporary Pathologists' Assistant to provide laboratory services including describing, dissecting, and submitting samples of human surgical specimens as directed. 

BASIC/REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

1.                  Requires a Master’s degree from a NAACLS accredited Pathologists’ Assistant program, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

2.                  Must be ASCP certified or eligible for certification within one year of employment.

3.                   Demonstrated knowledge of effective strategies for working with faculty, staff, and students from a variety of backgrounds and perspectives.

4.                  Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.

Anticipated available work up to 40 hours/week, exact schedule to be coordinated with the Gross Lab Supervisor.

Starting rate of pay is $41.83/hour.
