The Department of Rehabilitation Therapies at University of Iowa Health Care is seeking Senior Pediatric Occupational Therapists for PRN work at the University of Iowa Health Care Stead Family Children’s Hospital. The selected candidates must be capable of caring for acute pediatric inpatients with a variety of complex medical conditions. Coverage may include the NICU and PICU units. Weekday hours are available.

Education Required

• A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy is required

Experience Requirements

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• 1-3 years of experience in occupational therapy in a pediatric setting
• Ability to function as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Certifications

• Licensure in accordance with the Iowa Board of Physical and Occupational Therapy Examiners is required

Desirable Qualifications

• 1-3 of years of experience in one or more of the following patient care specialties in acute care or outpatient setting: NICU, PICU, and/or experience in early intervention
• Specialized training related to infant development or certification in neonatal therapy.
• Demonstrated leadership in a work or academic setting
