Details | The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders is seeking a temporary (from May 28th – August 2nd), part-time (up to 20 hours per week) Audiologist to provide clinical instruction to Audiology graduate students in our Wendell Johnson Speech & Hearing Clinic. Responsibilities include clinical instruction to audiology graduate student clinicians in a clinical setting which provides routine diagnostic services, aural (re)habilitation including hearing aid selection, fitting and follow up care, pediatric aural rehabilitation services in a preschool program in collaboration with speech-language-pathology faculty, as well as hearing loss prevention services. Prospective candidates must have a clinical doctorate in audiology (Au.D.) or master’s degree in audiology from an accredited program plus nine months clinical experience. Currently hold or qualified to obtain Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology and State of Iowa license in Audiology and Hearing Aid Dispensing. Required qualifications include experience in the following areas: (1) diagnostic testing; (2) hearing aid selection, fitting and follow-up care; (3) experience with aural (re)habilitation services and collaboration with speech langauge pathologists; (4) clinical instruction of audiology graduate students.
