|Working Title||Pre-Engineering Camps Sorter|
The College of Engineering Pre-Engineering Camps strive to develop and enhance student problem solving and critical thinking skills, provide an opportunity for creative expression, and foster curiosity about science and technology through fun-filled engineering projects. The focus of the camps is on robotics. Several part-time positions are available for equipment sorters.
-Assist the Director in organizing the teaching kits on a weekly basis.
-Maintain daily communication with the Director about the status of the kits and the need for replacement parts.
-Ability to work alone and get tasks completed.
-Availability to attend all program, training and preparation dates as required.
-Ability to work nights and weekends is required.
-Be a team player, enthusiastic, and motivated.
-A background check is required to hold this position.
The start date is June 6, and the camps end the first week of August. The rate of pay is $9 per hour. The work schedule will average 10-15 hours per week.
The Pre-Engineering Camps sorter position reports to Tracy Peterson, Director of Diversity Programs and K-12 Outreach in the University of Iowa College of Engineering.
