Postdoc Scholar in Molecular Psychiatry
We are currently seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral fellow with prior experience in brain slice electrophysiology and molecular neuroscience to join the laboratory of Dr. John Wemmie, MD PhD, professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Iowa.
The Wemmie Laboratory aims to investigate the role of acid-sensing ion channels in synaptic plasticity and behavior.
The successful candidate is expected to use electrophysiological, genetic, and optogenetic approaches to test the roles of ASICs in synaptic plasticity and behavior.
