|Desired Qualifications:||Prefer computer skills, Excel and Word, for data recording and power monitoring purposes. Prefer public contact experience. Prefer demonstrated knowledge of basic electrical principals. Prefer knowledge of emergency generator and/or electrical back-up systems. Prefer experience working with and knowledge of National Electrical Code(s).|
|Duties:||Installs, maintains, troubleshoots, repairs and replaces ≤ 600 volts electrical distribution systems and related equipment. Performs preventive maintenance on electrical equipment systems and control systems.|
MINIMUM ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
1. Requires State of Iowa Class A Journeyman Electrician license with at least four years as an apprentice plus two years of experience as a journeyman electrician;
2. State of Iowa Class B Journeyman Electrician license with eight years in the electrical trade in maintenance or construction.
3. Must possess a valid driver’s license and meet University’s Fleet Safety Program.
