Background Check:Successful candidates will be subject to a criminal background check.
  • Iowa Dental Radiography Certification
  • Iowa Registered Dental Assistant
Additional Information:Applicants must have the following by time of appointment: successful completion of ADAA accredited dental assistant program or 24 full-time months chairside dental assisting experience in 4-handed dental practice; Iowa certificate of dental assistant registration; and State of Iowa radiology certification.
Perform chairside dental assistance for OMFS faculty, graduate students, and dental students. Assist R.N. and oral surgeon with oral surgery functions within the scope of the minimum standards of dental assistants.

1. Successful completion of an ADAA dental assistance program or two years of chairside assistant experience assisting in four-handed method of dentistry.

2. Must have a current certificate of registration to practice as a dental assistant issued by the Iowa Board of Dental Examiners.

3. Must possess current Iowa certificate of proficiency in dental radiography.
