Position Description:

The University of Iowa’s College of Dentistry is conducting a search for a full-time clinical or tenure-track faculty member in the Department of Oral Pathology, Radiology & Medicine.  Major responsibilities include:  basic science and/or translational research; clinical and didactic teaching in oral radiology; and participation in the collegiate faculty practice to include interpretation of Cone Beam CT’s.  

Education Requirement:

Applicants must have: 




  • DDS/DMD or equivalent; and

  • completion of a CODA-accredited advanced training program in Oral & Maxillofacial Radiology, by time of appointment

Desirable Qualifications:

Desirable qualifications include:  




  • board certification from the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Radiology;

  • didactic and clinical/technical teaching experience in oral radiology at the graduate and predoctoral level; and

  • for tenure-track applicants, a track record of protocol-driven research with potential for future grant support.
