The Department of Health and Human Physiology at The University of Iowa invites applications for two full-time Lecturer (instructional faculty track) appointments for the academic year 2019-20, beginning August 2019. These positions are renewable for a total of three years (2019-2022) and renewable thereafter in three year increments. The preferred start date is August 15, 2019. Applications are sought from candidates with a demonstrated potential for outstanding teaching in human physiology, human anatomy, motor control, biomechanics, nutrition, exercise science, or related disciplines. Duties of this position include teaching, service to the department, and professional development.

A doctoral degree in human physiology, human anatomy, human motor control, biomechanics, nutrition, exercise science, kinesiology or other closely related field is required in hand by the start date.
Demonstrated potential in the following areas: teaching excellence, teaching across multiple content areas, teaching across multiple formats (lab, lecture, online, etc.), engaging students using creative pedagogy, mentoring students from diverse backgrounds, developing curricula, and participation in service/experiential learning.
