The Department of Accounting invites applicants for one or more part-time or full-time academic-year non-tenure track Instructional Faculty positions at the rank of Lecturer, Associate Professor of Instruction, Associate Professor of Practice, Professor of Instruction, or Professor of Practice beginning August 15, 2018. Rank will be determined by qualifications. These positions will be from 50% to 100% time, depending upon a candidate’s ability to teach either tax and upper level financial classes, and our teaching needs. The appointment requires the candidate to teach a minimum of 4 courses in undergraduate Introduction to Tax and/or upper level financial accounting classes to either accounting or finance majors.
A CPA or Master’s in accounting or a related field is required.
The candidate must be committed to excellence in undergraduate and graduate education with demonstrated evidence of a commitment to diversity in the educational community.
Either extensive industry experience with tax or financial reporting, or extensive academic experience in teaching tax or financial reporting is desirable.
