Position Description:

The Department of Radiology at the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine has an opening for a full time clinical or tenure track (open rank) Faculty within the Neuroradiology Division.  Individuals are expected to have a strong commitment to clinical care and teaching in an academic setting as well as the University's goal of inclusiveness. 

Education Requirement:

Four years of post-doctoral training in radiology.

Required Qualifications:

  1. Fellowship training in Neuroradiology or experience beyond residency in Neuroradiology.

  2. Must be eligible for medical licensure in the state of Iowa. 

  3. Candidates must be committed to the University's goal of inclusiveness and have a demonstrated history of working effectively with persons of all races, ethnicities, nationalities, genders, gender identities, sexual orientations, and religions.



  1. American Board of Radiology certified or eligible.

  2. Preferred Certificate of Added Qualifications (CAQ) in Neuroradiology, or CAQ eligible.

Desirable Qualifications:

  1. Working experience in all aspects of Neuroradiology, including myelography (catheter angiographic skills are not required).

  2. Excellent clinical and interpersonal communication skills.

  3. Strong background in academic radiology and leadership.

  4. Demonstrated facility for teaching.

  5. History of funded research for tenure track appointments.
