Position Description:

The Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences, University of Iowa Roy J. & Lucille A. Carver College of Medicine has an opening for a full-time tenure or non-tenure clinical track faculty in the subspecialty of Glaucoma.

Education Requirement:

MD degree

Applicants must have graduated from a fully accredited ophthalmology residency.

Required Qualifications:

Subspecialty training in glaucoma is required.

Applicant must be eligible for licensure in the state of Iowa.

Applicants must have demonstrated a commitment to achieving diversity in the workforce.

The successful candidate(s) will have excellent medical and surgical skills in glaucoma and a commitment to resident and fellow training.


Candidates must be certified or eligible for certification by the American Board of Ophthalmology.

Desirable Qualifications:

Experience in clinical or basic science research is highly desirable.
