Position Description:

The Department of Management Sciences at The University of Iowa invites applicants for one or more lecturer or visiting assistant professor positions teaching topics in business analytics and information systems in the undergraduate, Master’s, and MBA programs starting as early as January 12, 2017.  We seek candidates for full-time (8 courses per year) and part-time (4-7 courses per year).  Full- and part-time appointments provide a competitive benefits package including TIAA-CREF contributions.

The Department of Management Sciences offers undergraduate and doctoral programs in Business Analytics and Information Systems (BAIS) and a Graduate Certificate and Master’s programs in Business Analytics and a specialization in Analytics in the Fulltime MBA program. Courses in the graduate Business Analytics and Professional MBA programs are offered at remote sites including Cedar Rapids, Des Moines, and the Quad Cities.  With these remote locations, in addition to applicants living in or willing to live in Iowa City, we encourage applications from those living or willing to live in Cedar Rapids, Des Moines, and the Quad Cities.

Applicants will be considered until the position is filled. The position is subject to funding.

Education Requirement:

A Master’s degree in a related field is required.

Required Qualifications:

Applicants must demonstrate a background in teaching quantitative subjects at the university level.

Desirable Qualifications:

A PhD and/or extensive industry experience is preferred.
