Position Description:

The Department of Anesthesia is seeking Anesthesiologists with interest and expertise in several important clinical areas including: ambulatory, cardiovascular/thoracic, obstetrical, neurosurgical, pediatric, regional and/or transplant anesthesia.

Education Requirement:

MD, DO, MBBS or equivalent.

Required Qualifications:

Successful completion of an approved residency training program in Anesthesiology.



Candidates must be eligible for licensure in the state of Iowa.

Certifications:

Qualified candidates must be certified by the American Board of Anesthesiologists or the American Osteopathic Board of Anesthesiology or be in the certification process.  Internationally-trained physicians who hold an equivalent certification may be considered for appointment.

Desirable Qualifications:

Either fellowship training or equivalent clinical experience in any of the aforementioned subspecialty areas.



Interest in teaching and/or basic or clinical research.
