Position Description:

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine is accepting applications for a fulltime faculty member in our Maternal-Fetal Medicine Division.  This position will be either a tenure track or clinical track faculty position based on qualifications.  Responsibilities will include participation in the clinical and educational activities of the division including our fellowship.  Applicants must be committed to medical student, resident, and fellow education and clinical care of patients in the maternal-fetal medicine division at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics and our off-site outreach clinics.  Skills in obstetrical ultrasound, prenatal diagnosis, and genetics are required.  Clinical or laboratory research is required for the tenure track.

Education Requirement:

Successful applicants must possess an M.D. or D.O. Degree or equivalent and have completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology and fellowship training in Maternal-Fetal Medicine in the United States.

Required Qualifications:

Excellent clinical skills, strong oral and written communication skills, and excellent interpersonal skills.



Skills in obstetrical ultrasound, prenatal diagnosis, and genetics.



Must be able to share on-call responsibilities and be willing and able to commute to our off-site outreach locations. 



Must have a proven track record teaching medical students, residents and fellows.



Clinical or laboratory research is required for the tenure track.

Certifications:

Must be active candidate or American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and must be active candidate or American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology Subspecialty Board Certified in Maternal-Fetal Medicine.
