Position Description:

The Stead Family Department of Pediatrics is seeking a full-time faculty at the Associate (non-track) or Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor levels (clinical, non-tenure; or tenure track) to join the Division of General Academic Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine. The individual selected will join a faculty of 25 general pediatricians and will be responsible for the development and delivery of residency curriculum and clinical training in adolescent medicine; the successful candidate will provide outpatient care in a community based teaching environment and be responsible for the curriculum in adolescent medicine.


Education Requirement:

  • Must hold an MD/DO degree

Required Qualifications:

  • Clinical experience in general pediatrics

  • Strong oral and written communication/interpersonal skills

  • Tenure track candidates must demonstrate evidence of scholarly investigation


  • Board certified or eligible in Pediatrics

  • Board certified or board eligible in adolescent medicine

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and coordinate curriculum

  • Experience in patient-oriented research

  • Teaching competence in general pediatrics for medical students and residents

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement new programs

  • Experience in residency curriculum development or medical education

  • Scholarly activity in the area of adolescent health

  • Clinical experience in the care of adolescents
