The University of Iowa Roy J. and Lucille A. Carver College of Medicine, Department of Neurology is currently recruiting candidates for faculty positions within the Headache Division. Candidates may be appointed as either tenure or non-tenure track based on qualifications and experience. This position may also have a joint appointment with the Iowa Veterans Affairs (VA) Medical Center.
MD degree or equivalent.
Graduate of an ACGME-accredited Neurology residency program.
Fellowship trained in headache or have equivalent clinical experience in headache medicine.
Applicants must have a commitment to patient care, teaching, and research.
Tenure track positions also require post-residency fellowship or comparable experience and/or demonstrated interest in clinical and basic research.
Must be able to demonstrate knowledge of effective strategies for working with diverse faculty, staff, and students and be able to demonstrate job-related experience with and/or commitment to diversity in the work/academic environment.
Must be board eligible or board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
Additional consideration will be given to candidates with significant teaching, leadership experience and/or an established research record.
