Prepare submitted drawings, graphs and other artwork for printed media reproduction using electronic graphics systems. &#13;&lt;br/&gt;&#13;&lt;br/&gt;2.	Create and prepare original designs, drawings, graphs and other artwork for fliers, brochures, bulletin boards, t-shirts, web and additional promotional pieces.&#13;&lt;br/&gt;&#13;&lt;br/&gt;3.	Review copy and artwork materials for Recreational Services departmental publications. &#13;&lt;br/&gt;&#13;&lt;br/&gt;4.	Maintain logs and follow up on production schedules.&#13;&lt;br/&gt;&#13;&lt;br/&gt;5.	Confer with other staff members regarding publication artwork content and composition.&#13;&lt;br/&gt;&#13;&lt;br/&gt;6.	Instruct other staff members in publication techniques, methods and procedures.&#13;&lt;br/&gt;&#13;&lt;br/&gt;7.	Determine most appropriate artistic requirements for publication artwork, including selection of ink, paper and type style in conjunction with publication customer. &#13;&lt;br/&gt;&#13;&lt;br/&gt;8.	Assist in coordinating production work flow of Recreational Services departmental promotional pieces.&#13;&lt;br/&gt;&#13;&lt;br/&gt;9.	Maintain effective working relationships with faculty, staff, students and the public.&#13;&lt;br/&gt;&#13;&lt;br/&gt;10.	Participate in all weekly Recreational Services staff meetings and conferences as requested.&#13;&lt;br/&gt;&#13;&lt;br/&gt;11.	Maintain excellent customer service. To advise students and faculty on matters associated with the program. To coordinate and administer student affairs, including interns and fellows, relating to recruitment, admission processing, curriculum and program planning and placement.  To provide information and reports for training grants, educational support funding, and university and external reporting on programs.&#13;&lt;br/&gt;      &#13;&lt;br/&gt;&#13;&lt;br/&gt;CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES&#13;&lt;br/&gt;&#13;&lt;br/&gt;Create and update departmental student recruitment materials, web pages and program handbooks. &#13;&lt;br/&gt;&#13;&lt;br/&gt;Provide information and counseling to prospective students, current students, and faculty concerning selection, content, requirements, and objectives of the Department of Epidemiology graduate programs..&#13;&lt;br/&gt;&#13;&lt;br/&gt;Manage student recruitment, enrollment, and placement processes, including internships.&#13;&lt;br/&gt;&#13;&lt;br/&gt;Maintain and analyze recruitment, student, internship, fellowship, and assistantship records.&#13;&lt;br/&gt;&#13;&lt;br/&gt;Assist in preparation and monitoring of training grants.&#13;&lt;br/&gt;&#13;&lt;br/&gt;Prepare and maintain appropriate operations reports and surveys for the department strategic plan monitoring and for the graduate programs.&#13;&lt;br/&gt;&#13;&lt;br/&gt;Responsible for the coordination and creation of Department newsletter. &#13;&lt;br/&gt;&#13;&lt;br/&gt;Coordinate with other departments and colleges on pertinent recruitment and student outreach activities.&#13;&lt;br/&gt;&#13;&lt;br/&gt;Organize and facilitate student orientation, graduate receptions, and symposia.&#13;&lt;br/&gt;&#13;&lt;br/&gt;Manage internship and assistantship placements&#13;&lt;br/&gt;&#13;&lt;br/&gt;Assist in the acquisition of funds for scholarships&#13;&lt;br/&gt;&#13;&lt;br/&gt;Coordinate curricular issues and changes with departments and colleges.&#13;&lt;br/&gt;&#13;&lt;br/&gt;Maintain records of all applications for admission, and present these to the departmental faculty for timely review.&#13;&lt;br/&gt;&#13;&lt;br/&gt;Maintain communication with student applicants regarding status of their applications.&#13;&lt;br/&gt;&#13;&lt;br/&gt;Assist in monitoring student progress toward graduation.
