Job Duties:
Develop and analyze financial and non-financial data relating to expenses and operations using established accounting methods. Summarize and analyze financial information and prepare complex reports and presentations for the departments of Neurosurgery and Otolaryngology.

SENIOR FINANCIAL ANALYST

Job Duties:
Develop and document procedures for on-going monitoring and due diligence reviews of University of Iowa investment portfolios to ensure compliance with policy and regulatory matters.

Develop and maintain documentation for ongoing internal review of institutional investment performance and prepare periodic reports for management and the Board of Regents.

Analyze institutional banking, investments, and endowment activity and prepare reports at management request.

Monitor departmental endowment spending activity for compliance with donor restrictions and external regulations. Prepare periodic analysis and reporting at management request.

Perform cash management functions, including review and verification of daily bank balances, calculation of funds available for investment and recommendation of bank transfers.

Maintain documentation of authorized signers on University bank and investment accounts, including documentation of individual access to all banking products.

Document departmental procedures and guidelines for scanning and retention of investment and banking documents. Supervise implementation and ongoing maintenance of records. Ensure appropriate security of sensitive and confidential information.

Review and audit of general ledger accounts for accuracy and compliance with departmental budget. Resolve discrepancies as necessary.
