Job Duties:

PSYCHIATRIC NURSING ASSISTANT

REHABILITATION THERAPY AIDE

Job Duties:
Under the supervision of a therapist the Rehab Therapies Aide will perform the following tasks:
1) Administer airway clearance techniques and monitor aerobic exercise for adults and children with cystic fibrosis.
2) Assist therapists in providing care to inpatients. This will include preparing the patient for the therapy session, directly assisting the therapist in the provision of care, and cleaning up equipment/space after the session is completed. The aide, under the onsite supervision of the therapist will work on functional activities (getting in/out of bed, walking, etc.) with assigned patients.
3) Fabricate adaptive equipment from thermoplastic materials, for issuance by the therapists.
4) Occasionally supervise patients while they utilize the therapeutic pool. This does not involve getting in the pool. Assist with cleaning the pool deck when needed.
5) Assist with cleaning the patient care equipment on a daily basis.
6) Assemble walkers and crutches for issance to the patient.
