Must be able to transport records long distances throughout the entire UIHC complex and move heavy objects (medical record volumes bundled together may weigh 22 pounds and totes of records weigh up to 65 pounds).

Must have a valid drivers license, meet U of I Fleet Safety requirements and be able to drive cargo van between the storage areas and the hospital.

Retrieve and deliver medical records throughout UIHC complex for emergency care requests, and retrieve medical records for planned clinic appointments from storage areas, scanning bar-coded records to update locations via the on-line Medical Record Tracking System.

Respond to emergency requests for release of medical information from outside entities by understanding the type of medical information requested and identifying the appropriate material to satisfy the request.
